Location: Main Playing Area (Grand Ballroom).
When: Five rounds will be held at starting at 1pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Alternate times may be arranged by mutual agreement of both players and the TD, but each game must be finished on the assigned day. If needed to determine the winners, the TD may schedule a final playoff round to be held on Friday night starting at 7pm.
Eligibility: Ages 55 and over with an AGA ID. Sign-up during registration or check-in day.
Rules: AGA rules will be used. In non-handicap games, komi for white is 7.5 points; otherwise it is 0.5 points.
Time Controls: Bonus time will be used. Each player will get a base time of 20 minutes and a bonus time of 15 seconds per move.
Handicaps: Normal handicap rules are in effect.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three players in the Dan and Kyu sections.
Additional Info: All games will be AGA-rated. Game reporting slips will be available on site. The winner should be circled, and the loser should sign the slip; put completed slips in the box in the reporting area.
