Welcome to Newton Massachusetts! Newton was settled in 1639 and is roughly 8 miles West of Boston. Newton abounds in scenic splendor from nature hikes to waterfalls to bikepaths. Speaking of bike paths, if you want to rent a bike during your stay, there is a Blue Bikes station less than a mile walk from the Hotel here where you can rent a bike. The Blue Bikes app can be downloaded to your smart phone and get you cruising around Newton in no time. There are many things to do in Newton but some of the most notable are:
Newton Cemetery and Arboretum an abundantly tranquil and restful nature preserve

The Chestnut Hill Mall if shopping is your thing, this is a very nice mall as far as malls go

Hemlock Gorge Reservation is another peaceful natural area with waterfalls and some shops lodged in traditional New England Architecture

Getting into downtown Boston from Newton is easy and there’s lots to see and do in Boston too! The Riverside Green Line T Stop is about a 25 minute walk from the hotel and will take you right into downtown Boston where you can visit places like:
Faneuil Hall Marketplace with a plethora of food options

Harvard Square which isn’t actually in Boston but it’s easily accessible by MBTA once you are within the city limits

Boston Public Garden a wonderful green space in the heart of Boston proper with many things to do including the famous Swan Boats

The Museum of Science an absolutely first rate museum with a slew of rotating and permanent exhibits

The New England Aquarium another fixture in Boston, founded in 1969, with many wonderful exhibitions

The Museum of Fine Arts a terrific art museum very close to the famous Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox
