Introduction: A tournament for those who just can’t bear not having a tournament game on the break day!
Location: The Main Playing Area (Grand Ballroom).
When: There will be four rounds held on Wednesday (July 29) starting at 10am, with the last game starting no later than 4pm.
Eligibility: Anyone with an AGA ID. Sign-up during registration or check-in, or at the Congress through Tuesday (July 28) no later than 9:45am. Walk-ins will be paired on a best-effort basis for the next round.
Rules: AGA rules will be used. In non-handicap (even) games, Komi for white is 7.5 points; otherwise, it is 0.5 points.
Time Controls: Bonus time will be used. Each player will get a base time of 20 minutes and a bonus time of 15 seconds per move.
Handicaps: Most games will be played even, or close to even.
Prizes: The top two winners in each division will receive a prize. Depending how many players show up, there will either be two or three divisions.
Additional Info: All games will be AGA-rated.
